Our Story

OURS began with a shared laugh on a sunny June afternoon in Munich, during a chance meeting on the way to the Pfälzer Weinstube.

Introduced through a mutual intern – of all things – we were suddenly walking through the city together. Rodrigo joined spontaneously, and what followed was an afternoon full of laughter and easy connection. From that moment on, he seemed to magically appear at every party – always finding a way to get to know me better.

Things shifted one evening in Venice. A single night turned into something more – we became friends who couldn’t stop talking, who looked for excuses to cross paths.

Then came Lisbon...

Rodrigo invited us for a weekend trip, and that weekend changed everything. A day in Cascais and Sintra, dinner by the ocean, and our first kiss in a tiny Lisbon bar. That was it. From that moment on, we were inseparable – wildly in love and somehow already sure.

It was the middle of the pandemic. With the world on pause, we took a leap and moved together to Lisbon – first to Rodrigo’s mother’s home, then to our own space. I had fallen in love with the city, and Rodrigo had always called it home. And so, without much hesitation and well before our engagement, we started looking for a place of our own.

We bought our first apartment – not because it made sense on paper, but because in our hearts, we knew.

Eventually, we returned to Munich and moved into our first shared apartment by the Isar in May 2022 – a little home filled with books, treasures from our travels, and lots of music and food.

And then, on the 30th of August 2023, at the close of a golden summer in Portugal, Rodrigo surprised me with a sunset horseback ride along the beach. As the sun set and the supermoon rose, he asked me to marry him, by the sea, with white horses and the waves as witnesses.

I said yes – of course.

It was magic.

Before our big wedding celebration, we marked our promise in an intimate, magical civil ceremony in shades of “Something Blue” at Schloss Oberschleißheim, a dreamy Bavarian palace just outside Munich, on 5th July 2024.
